About the College/Unit/Department
The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-orientated individuals for jobs that advance UGA's mission of Public Service and Outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Up to 40 hours per week based on business needs. Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm and Saturday-Sunday, 9am-5:30pm but may change for football and special events. May be required to work when the University is closed.

This is a temporary position that will last less than 12 months and is not eligible for benefits. Temporary employees will be considered for full-time positions when they are available.

Remove dirty linens and trash from hotel rooms, housekeeping carts, and hallways

This position provides support to both housekeeping and laundry staff. The House Person is responsible for removing soiled linen and trash from hotel rooms, restocking housekeeping closets with necessary supplies, amenities, and linens, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of hotel floors. Additional responsibilities include responding to guest requests in a courteous and timely manner, reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel, and keeping accurate records of tasks completed and time worked. This position may also be assigned duties in other areas maintained by the housekeeping department as needed.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Customer service/guest interaction experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
This position operates under time constraints in a fast-paced environment and requires strong time management and organizational skills. It demands dedication, responsibility, honesty, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The role also involves problem-solving and customer service, and requires effective verbal communication skills in English.
