Housing Navigator
Location: Redlands, CA
Schedule: Full-Time (Temp-to-Hire)
Pay: $75,000 annually
Reports To: President/CEO
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Housing Navigator to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in securing and maintaining stable housing. This role focuses on individualized housing planning, case navigation, landlord outreach, and ongoing client support to promote long-term housing success.
Key Responsibilities
Client Services & Navigation
Conduct housing needs assessments and develop individualized housing plans
Assist clients in identifying, applying for, and securing permanent housing
Provide ongoing support including referrals to benefits, employment, and community resources
Guide clients through the full housing process including applications, lease coordination, move-in, and retention
Landlord & Community Engagement
Maintain and update a list of affordable housing resources in the area
Build and maintain relationships with landlords and property managers
Educate community partners on housing programs, subsidies, and resources
Represent the organization at community events, vendor fairs, and collaborative meetings
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and tracking systems (HMIS or internal systems)
Prepare reports for leadership, board members, and partner agencies as needed
Qualifications
Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, Sociology, or related field (Bachelor s preferred) or equivalent experience
Experience in housing navigation and/or working with regional center clients
Knowledge of housing programs such as Section 8, housing vouchers, and supportive housing
Strong communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills
