Organization Overview:

Inspire Together is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering underserved youth, individuals, and families by providing access to supportive services, resources, and opportunities that foster long-term stability and success. We believe in creating pathways toward independence through housing, employment, and personal development programs that inspire growth and transformation.

Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Housing Navigator plays a key role in connecting individuals and families to stable, affordable housing. This position is responsible for locating permanent housing options, developing strong relationships with landlords and property management companies, and supporting clients through the entire housing process — from application to move-in.

The Housing Navigator collaborates closely with Case Managers and other service providers to ensure that clients are prepared for and able to maintain long-term housing stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure permanent housing opportunities for participants referred by Case Managers.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with landlords, property owners, and housing agencies to expand available housing resources.
  • Assist clients with housing applications, lease agreements, and move-in coordination.
  • Support participants with budgeting, financial planning, and understanding tenant responsibilities.
  • Maintain an updated list of available affordable and supportive housing options.
  • Coordinate with Case Managers, employment specialists, and community partners to ensure a holistic support plan.
  • Advocate for clients experiencing barriers to housing, such as credit issues, low income, or past evictions.
  • Conduct housing inspections and follow up to ensure clients are maintaining stable housing.
  • Keep accurate documentation of housing activities and client progress in compliance with program standards.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and outreach events as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field — or at least two (2) years of equivalent social service experience.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with homeless or low-income individuals, youth, or families preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, local housing resources, and community services.
  • Ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients and build positive relationships with landlords.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Valid California Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance required.
  • Must pass a background check and fingerprint clearance.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment).

Work Environment:

This position is in-person at our San Bernardino office. Occasional travel within the community may be required for outreach, housing visits, or meetings with landlords and partners.
