Job Summary

This position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate. Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.

NATURE OF WORK

Under general supervision, performs administrative, office and/or clerical work of moderate difficulty; this position has department specific responsibility.

Nature of Work

(Illustrative Only) Receives, sorts, indexes, files, and retrieves forms, correspondence, and documents; enters data into computer; formats, composes and types documents and reports from written draft and transcription.; may take abbreviated notes of meetings; compiles reports and summaries of work; checks and completes records, forms, and documents. Develops and maintains office records and files; receives, and responds to correspondence and operates a variety of office machines; answers routine and extraordinary questions from the public; prepares and processes confidential and sensitive documents; responsible for mailing out removal and ineligibility letters; ensures waiting lists are purge on an annual basis; mail notices and prepare packages for mass briefings; receives, processes, and enters Section 8 and Public Housing applicants information into Lindsey program; provides back up for Clerk II to collect payments such as rent, promissory notes and maintenance charges; may assists with processing work orders when needed; secures front office at the end of the day; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent; plus coursework in general office procedures AND three years of office work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; requires successful completion of a background check.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: County policies and procedures; business English, spelling, and arithmetic; office computer hardware and software applications; clerical and office practices and procedures.

Skill in: Effectively dealing with public inquiries; making arithmetic computations with speed and accuracy; maintaining records and preparing reports; the operation of various office machines/equipment; following written and verbal instructions.

Ability to: Effectively respond to phone calls, emails and complaints in a timely manner; plan, prioritizes, manages and responds to multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment; read, write, research, synthesizes data and detailed reports; use modern office equipment and computers; communicate effectively verbally and written; lift up to 5 - 25 lbs; perform the essential functions of the job specifications with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity; generally the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking and 20% standing; working at a computer monitor for extended periods required; the job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.

Medical Coverage Category

The YCEBT is a self-funded medical plan administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Arizona (BCBSAZ). The employee is able to select from two (2) medical plan options with six (6) tiers that will best suit the employees needs, dependents or families.

Plan Option 1: Preferred Provider Option A (PPO) or PPO A 1100 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing a preventative visit.

Plan Option 2: High Deductible High Plan - Health Savings Account (HDHP-HSA) with a 1700 deductible. Employees who participate in the "Wellness Incentive" will receive a $30 monthly premium reduction by completing a preventative visit.

Employer contributes a total of $800.04 to employees Health Savings Account. If employees select Employee only and participate in the "Wellness Incentive" employees can receive up to 360.00 contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card to be used for medical or dental purposes.

International Medical Solutions (IMS): IMS is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan A and HDHP. Members enrolled in the PPO plan can pay as little as $5 copay for doctor visits & prescription drug services, with no maximum cap. High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) pay toward their deductible until is met. After the deductible is satisfied, the plan will pay 80% of the services covered, and the member will be responsible for the remaining 20% coinsurance.
