We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful individual to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients, community partners, and service providers to connect individuals with housing resources, coordinate supportive services, and advocate positive outcomes. Responsibilities and Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrates an understanding of compliance standards for HUD, Vermilion County Housing Authority Section 8 program, Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Grants, Coordinated Entry protocols and/or any other housing program/grant being administered by the program.
- Work cooperatively with the Permanent Housing Program Coordinator and the Director of Domestic Violence and Shelter Programs to maintain the exemplary status of the Permanent Housing Program, Section 8 program, Emergency Solutions Grant Programs, Coordinated Entry and issues affecting those programs.
- Perform HUD program HMIS data entry and record keeping, and DHS program data entry and record keeping and assist in maintaining files for program participants.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with area property owners and property management companies and local housing authorities.
- Complete a comprehensive assessment, when appropriate, which includes the person's history, mental status, strengths, needs, abilities, preferences and resources including recommendations for support services and obtain all necessary signatures.
- Develop service plans for assigned residents of the permanent housing and section 8 voucher program. Service plans include statement of problem(s) and interventions

Job Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, human services, psychology, or related field, or equivalent life and/or professional experience.
- Two years work experience in human service field preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
