WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Housing Program Specialist (HPS) supports service delivery for Community Services housing programs. The HPS is responsible for the set up and coordination of rental assistance program leases, associated documentation, and landlord communication and outreach. Provides administrative support for housing programs: including form and document maintenance, billing preparation, reporting, and training coordination and tracking. Works closely with the housing case management team, Community Services administration, and agency fiscal staff.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.

After the initial training period, there are options for flexible schedules:
  • Regular: Monday - Friday (8 hour days)
  • Flex: Four 9 hour days and one 4 hour day (Typical schedule: Mon-Thurs 7:30am-5pm, Fri 8am - 12pm)
  • Compressed: Four 10 hour days (7am-5:30pm, Monday or Fridays off)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates renter lease set-up, file maintenance and tracking for designated rental assistance programs
  • Conducts outreach and provides support communicating with landlords
  • Collects and records data
  • Completes reports
  • Prepares billing for multiple Housing contracts
  • Coordinates and tracks employee trainings
  • Provides administrative support
  • Assists with program policy and procedure development
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Strong computer skills that include Excel and Word required.
  • Experience with developing forms, Infographics, written procedures, and tracking systems preferred.
  • Experience with eligibility determination, compliance, and reporting preferred.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and five-year driving history within Opportunity
    Council's Auto Insurance Standards.
