Housing Specialist
Location: Danbury, CT
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a customer-focused Housing Specialist to support daily operations within an affordable housing environment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity ideal for someone with experience supporting low-income populations and managing administrative and tenant-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on support to tenants, addressing questions, concerns, and service needs
Assist in managing service tickets and coordinating maintenance/work orders
Process and track rent payments, subsidies, and related financial transactions
Maintain accurate records and documentation for tenant files and housing programs
Deliver high-level customer service to residents and external stakeholders
Support administrative functions including data entry, reporting, and correspondence
Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and internal teams
Qualifications:
Experience in housing, property management, or affordable housing support strongly preferred
Background working with low-income populations
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in administrative tasks and systems (data entry, documentation, tracking)
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, but not required
