Housing Specialist I

TheHousing Specialist I is responsible for conductinginitial and continued eligibility as well as routine transaction processing for subsidized housing programs.

Summaryof Key Responsibilities:

• Assistclients with the application process for subsidized housing programs (HCV, PH,LIHTC, etc.)
• Review and verify documentation to determineeligibility.
• Maintain accurate records of clientinteractions and case files.
• Provide information and support to clientsregarding program requirements and processes.
• Conduct client interviews to gather necessaryinformation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, andlocal regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and trainingsessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Must complete specialist certification coursewithin 60 days of hire. (HCV, Public Housing, LIHTC, etc.)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in subsidizedprograms eligibility required.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong organizational and time managementskills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonalskills.
• Ability to work independently and as part ofa team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

TravelRequirement:

Travel required as projects entail.
