GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to design, implement, and manage a countywide housing data system that supports coordinated access to shelters, supportive services, and subsidized housing resources. This role leads the integration between local housing and service provider data and the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to enable automated data sharing and improved tracking of client engagement, service utilization, and housing referrals. This position also connects partners, systems, and data to improve real-time visibility, referral efficiency, and systemwide decision-making across the housing continuum
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive housing and supportive services database that integrates with HMIS and other relevant data systems.
- Establish data-sharing protocols and data governance agreements with system partners to ensure accurate, secure, and consistent data exchange.
- Use data to identify system gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement across the housing continuum.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Housing Department, HMIS administrators, service providers, and technology partners, including coordinating collaboration and providing guidance or training as needed.
- Perform related work as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, data analytics, social work, or other information technology or supportive services related field.
- 3-5 years of experience, working with HMIS or comparable client-level data systems, and a strong understanding of the housing continuum, including shelter operations, supportive housing models, and subsidized housing programs, project management experience preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
