    Description

    HumCap's client is seeking an experienced HR Administration & Compliance Specialist to oversee HR governance, compliance, employee relations, and administrative processes across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring employment law compliance, policy management, audit readiness, leave administration, and HR operational excellence while supporting a consistent and compliant employee experience.

    Position Overview

    The Manager, HR Administration & Compliance serves as a key resource for HR compliance and governance, partnering with HR, payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, and operational leaders to maintain effective HR processes, documentation standards, and risk management practices.

    Key Responsibilities
    HR Compliance & Employment Law
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Monitor legislative changes and recommend policy or process updates.
    • Serve as an internal resource for HR compliance guidance.
    • Partner with leadership and legal counsel on complex employment matters.
    Employee Relations
    • Manage employee relations processes and workplace investigations.
    • Review disciplinary actions and termination documentation for consistency and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate case files and investigation records.
    • Promote the fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
    Policy Management
    • Maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and related documentation.
    • Coordinate policy reviews and updates.
    • Manage version control and employee acknowledgments.
    • Communicate policy changes across the organization.
    Audits & Compliance Controls
    • Lead personnel file, I-9, and HR process audits.
    • Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain audit-ready records and documentation.
    • Support internal and external compliance reviews.
    Leave & Accommodations
    • Administer FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and related accommodation processes.
    • Manage leave tracking, return-to-work documentation, and compliance requirements.
    • Partner with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate administration.
    Records & Reporting
    • Maintain personnel records and retention schedules.
    • Ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
    • Develop HR compliance reports, dashboards, and metrics.
    • Track key compliance, investigation, and training data.
    Training & Process Improvement
    • Coordinate compliance training programs and completion tracking.
    • Support manager education on HR policies and employment practices.
    • Develop and maintain HR procedures and operational standards.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR operations.
    Qualifications
    Required
    • PHR certification preferred;SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certifications will also be considered.
    • 7+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on compliance and administration.
    • Experience managing employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
    • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance practices.
    • Experience administering FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs.
    • Strong auditing, documentation, and process management skills.
    • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
    Preferred
    • Experience supporting multi-site organizations.
    • Background in HR audits, risk management, and compliance programs.
    • Strong analytical, reporting, and policy administration skills.
    • Experience developing HR procedures and standard operating practices.
