HR Administrative Support Overview
Join our Human Resources team at our client’s distribution center in Rural Hall, NC as an HR Administrative Support professional. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative and HRIS support to the Sr. Manager, HR Distribution, while also serving as backup support for the Texas distribution HR team. You’ll help ensure smooth, accurate day-to-day operations across employment, benefits, employee relations support, and terminations—including managing critical payroll and HR data in UKG (UltiPro) with strict attention to compliance and confidentiality.
Required Skills
  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Strong HRIS and payroll systems knowledge, including UKG (UltiPro)
    • Ability to run reports, extract data to Excel, and manipulate formulas/spreadsheets to deliver accurate information
  • Advanced PC skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA and the ability to maintain highest-level confidentiality
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate HR records and documentation
  • Experience coordinating HR administrative tasks such as:
    • New hires, benefit/status changes, and terminations
    • Processing and maintaining employee data in the HR/payroll database
  • Strong organization and time management, including dependability and meeting deadlines
  • Solid problem-solving and reasoning skills with accuracy and thoroughness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to draft business correspondence and reports
  • Ability to interpret instructions and comply with regulatory and compliance topics affecting HR
Nice to Have Skills
  • HR Certificate (preferred)
  • Experience supporting employee benefits administration, including open enrollment documentation and communication
  • Familiarity with OSHA reporting functions and staying up to date on compliance requirements
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) (preferred but not required)
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Preferred: Associates Degree in a related field
  • Experience:2+ years of HR administrative or HR operations experience
  • Preference: Certificate in Human Resources
Other Requirements
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Must support weekly payroll responsibilities for Rural Hall, NC, including collecting, verifying, and processing time worked
  • Serve as primary point of contact for staffing agencies coordinating temporary workforce needs, including onboarding and terminations
  • Handle employee questions related to company policy and procedures, escalating to the Sr. Manager HR Distribution as needed
  • Environmental/physical demands: ability to push, pull, and lift cartons up to 20 lbs or 50 lbs with a dolly for employee events setup
  • Backup support for Texas distribution HR coverage across personnel functions as needed
