Gate - HR Administrative Assistant ($20-22/hr)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations while assisting with basic payroll functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate who has some experience or exposure to payroll processes and is looking to grow within a professional office environment. This is a 3-4 Temp to Hire position that is onsite Schiller Park, IL on a daily basis from 8am-4:30pm. Must work every other Sat.

Key Responsibilities: Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, scheduling, and correspondence

Assist with payroll processing, including timesheet collection, data verification, and record maintenance

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information

Support onboarding tasks such as preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating documentation

Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional and timely manner

Help manage office supplies, mail distribution, and basic office organization

Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)

2+ years of administrative or office experience

Basic understanding of payroll processes or prior exposure preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills: Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar systems)

Basic knowledge of labor laws and payroll compliance standards

Experience in a fast-paced office environment
