The HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting HR technology initiatives through participation in system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and process improvement projects. This role serves as a key contributor to HRIS-related projects by supporting requirements gathering, data migration, testing activities, system validation, and end-user readiness efforts to ensure successful deployment and adoption of HR technology solutions.
Working closely with the Workforce Operations Manager, HR Operations, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders, the HRIS Analyst supports system transitions and enhancements by documenting business processes, coordinating data validation efforts, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshooting system issues, and assisting with change management activities. The role also serves as a liaison to the HR Analyst by providing system and data support to ensure accurate workforce reporting and data integrity across HR platforms.
Through effective project participation, testing, system support, and data management practices, the HRIS Analyst contributes to the successful delivery of HR technology initiatives while supporting operational efficiency, compliance, and an enhanced employee experience.
Responsibilities
HRIS Projects, Implementations & System Enhancements
- Support HR initiatives and projects focusing on HRIS upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and technology transitions.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and assist with evaluations of current processes and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, compliance and service delivery
- Support system configuration reviews and validation activities to ensure solutions align with business and operational needs.
- Assist with system testing, validation and implementation activities to ensure accurate processing of employee data and successful deployment of HR solutions
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and other business stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Support change management efforts through communication, training support, and end-user readiness activities for all training related to systems that impact HR and employees.
- Assist with post-implementation reviews, BAU status, and enhancement initiatives following system deployments.
- Raise comments or information to the HRIS team to improve system functionality, streamline processes, and enhance the employee and manager user experience.
Testing, Validation & Data Migration
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, integration testing, and validation activities for system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations.
- Identify, document, and track system defects, configuration issues, and data discrepancies through resolution.
- Assist data conversion, migration, validation, and reconciliation efforts during system implementations and transitions.
- Validate employee, organizational, payroll, and workforce data to ensure accuracy and completeness before and after deployment activities.
- Partner with stakeholders to verify system functionality and ensure business requirements are met.
- Assist with production readiness activities and post-deployment validation.
Reporting & Data Support
- Partner with the HR Analyst to support workforce reporting and data-related initiatives.
- Assist with data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and quality review activities to support accurate reporting outcomes.
- Provide system-generated data and reporting support for workforce metrics, audits, compliance requirements, and business requests.
- Support data validation efforts associated with system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancement projects.
- Assist in identifying and resolving data discrepancies across HR systems and integrated platforms.
- Support employee data maintenance activities to promote data accuracy and consistency across HR technology systems.
- Perform other assigned duties and special project work as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting HRIS systems, HR technology projects, system implementations, or workforce technology initiatives.
- Experience supporting HRIS upgrades, system enhancements, integrations, conversions, or technology transition projects.
- Experience assisting user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, data validation, and data migration activities.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now, with experience supporting enterprise HR technology platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to validate, reconcile, and analyze workforce data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and project deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform work in a standard office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and operating office equipment (e.g., keyboard, mouse, calculator)
- Ability to view and read information on a computer screen for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through electronic means
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment
- Ability to lift and carry office materials (e.g., files, documents, or equipment) up to 5–10 pounds on an occasional basis
- Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while performing detailed, repetitive tasks
- May require extended periods of concentration and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
Salary Range: $82-100K
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
