Position: Capstone is seeking a highly organized and strategic Human Resources and Payroll Manager to oversee the dual functions of employee administration and financial compensation, ensuring accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. This role manages HRIS systems, handles tax withholdings, onboarding/offboarding, and employee records, while driving improvements to payroll efficiencies and HR procedures and policies.
Qualifications: Detail-oriented with 5+ years of experience directing full-cycle payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle management. Proven expertise in ensuring FLSA compliance, processing multi-grant payrolls, and utilizing platforms like ADP. Adept at resolving complex inquiries and building strong, employee-focused workplace cultures.

The Human Resources and Payroll Manager works onsite at our Barre, Vermont office during regular business hours, with some schedule flexibility and hybrid schedule options available on an ad hoc basis. Please note that this is not a fully remote position.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time position, offering a starting annualized salary of $80,000 - $85,000, as well as paid time off, insurance, and retirement plan benefits.
