Description
Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a fast-growing distributed SaaS company, for a Remote HR Assistant to support onboarding coordination and HRIS data entry. Day to day, you will keep new hire paperwork moving, make sure HRIS records are accurate and current, and act as a friendly first point of contact for employees navigating onboarding questions. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple checklists at once, and energized by helping people feel welcomed and set up for success from day one.
Responsibilities
Coordinate end to end onboarding logistics for new hires including offer letters, paperwork, and welcome communications
Enter and maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS system
Track onboarding milestones and follow up with new hires and hiring managers to keep timelines on schedule
Process background checks, I-9 verification, and other pre-employment compliance steps
Respond to employee questions about onboarding, benefits enrollment, and company policies
Assist with scheduling orientation sessions and new hire training
Maintain organized digital personnel files in compliance with company and legal recordkeeping requirements
Support HR team with reporting, audits, and data cleanup projects within the HRIS
Help coordinate offboarding tasks including exit paperwork and system deactivations
Assist with ad hoc HR administrative projects as needed
Requirements
1 to 3 years of experience in an HR, onboarding, or administrative support role
Hands on experience with an HRIS platform such as Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or similar
Strong attention to detail and comfort with high volume data entry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple onboarding timelines at once
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, distributed team environment
Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred, HR certification a plus
