Kansas City, KS | Onsite | 6-Month Contract | 10:00 AM–6:00 PM | Up to $24.45/hour

Our client is seeking an experienced Crew Scheduler to support daily workforce scheduling at its Kansas City manufacturing facility. In this role, you'll help make sure the right employees are in the right place at the right time, adjusting staffing plans as production needs, attendance, training, and employee availability change throughout the day.

What You'll Do
- Build and maintain daily crew schedules based on production requirements, employee availability, qualifications, and applicable scheduling requirements.
- Coordinate staffing around vacations, leaves, training, company events, and planned or unexpected absences.
- Respond to changing production needs and make real-time adjustments to staffing plans.
- Work closely with plant supervisors and hourly employees to resolve daily scheduling needs.
- Prepare and distribute crew sheets, staffing schedules, and related workforce documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee attendance and scheduling information within applicable systems.
- Prepare reports covering hours worked, absenteeism, overtime, attendance trends, and other workforce metrics.
- Coordinate employee recall from layoff when required.
- Support training coordination, workforce projects, and other hourly employee processes.
- Develop an understanding of plant operations to recognize potential staffing issues before they impact production.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and workforce information.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2–3 years of professional scheduling experience, preferably supporting hourly employees or shift-based operations.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to adjust quickly when staffing or production requirements change.
- Comfortable communicating with supervisors, employees, and other plant personnel.
- Ability to work onsite in Kansas City, KS from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.
- Availability to complete initial training on either a 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule.
Preferred Experience
- Crew, workforce, production, or labor scheduling within a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Experience supporting hourly or union-represented employees.
- Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and their impact on staffing decisions.
- Experience with SAP, Kronos, and/or Indeavor.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience preparing attendance, overtime, absenteeism, or labor-utilization reports.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operation where staffing requirements can change throughout the day.
