HR Assistant / Payroll Clerk

Job SummaryWe are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and dependable HR Assistant to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will be the backbone of our daily HR and payroll tracking operations. You will handle sensitive data daily, requiring discretion and trustworthiness. Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Time Tracking: Manage daily punch hours posting and ensure employee timecards are accurate. Complete payroll processing on a strict, non-negotiable weekly/bi-weekly deadline.Time-Off Tracking: Update and maintain vacation, sick, and personal time adjustments for both office staff and shop/production employees.Temporary Staffing Coordination: Oversee daily temporary employee activity. Maintain constant communication with shift supervisors and external staffing agencies regarding headcount and attendance.Support: Serve as a reliable point of contact for department supervisors to resolve timecard discrepancies or staffing updates.Required Skills & QualificationsDiscretion: Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive personal/financial information with total privacy.Organization: Must be organized and able to manage strict timelines-payroll must get done on time, every time.Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills for working with internal supervisors and external agencies.Adaptability: Comfortable working with two different employee structures (office and shop/production environments).
