Job Title: HR Assistant 

Location: Phoenix, AZ 

Job Type: Full-Time 

Pay: $20.00-$24.00/hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

 

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable HR Assistant to support daily human resources operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining organized employee records, supporting onboarding, and assisting with attendance tracking and employee communications. 

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, responsive, and interested in building a long-term career in Human Resources within a fast-paced, operational environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork 
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems 
  • Track attendance, timekeeping, and basic reporting 
  • Support recruitment efforts (scheduling interviews, candidate communication) 
  • Assist with employee documentation, including disciplinary records and policy acknowledgments 
  • Respond to employee questions and route inquiries appropriately 
  • Support consistent application of company policies and procedures 
  • Assist with general administrative and HR-related tasks as needed

COMPLIANCE & EXPECTATIONS

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records, investigations, and sensitive company information 
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable state regulations 
  • Support accurate and consistent documentation practices 
  • Consistent attendance and reliability are essential to this role 
  • Must meet all eligibility requirements to work in a regulated cannabis environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Must have your own vehicle to drive between locations (mileage reimbursed)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion 
  • Clear and professional communication (written and verbal) 
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to follow through on tasks 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) 
  • 1+ year of HR, administrative, or office experience (preferred)
  • Experience with HRIS systems or timekeeping platforms (preferred)
