Job Title: HR Assistant
Location: Tappan, NY (On-Site)
Pay: $25/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in supporting the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee support, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy across all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the HR department and serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
Assist with recruitment efforts, including application intake, job postings, and candidate communication
Support new hire onboarding, including orientation coordination and documentation
Maintain and audit employee personnel files and HR records
Assist with benefits administration, including FMLA and workers' compensation processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, including union (CBA) guidelines where applicable
Support timekeeping, HRIS data entry, and reporting activities
Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs
Coordinate scheduling, training sessions, and meetings
Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation and tracking
Qualifications:
1+ years of HR or administrative experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
