Part Time Human Resources Administrative Assistant

Position Summary

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Human Resources team in the areas of HRIS maintenance, payroll documentation, recruitment and selection, onboarding/orientation, records management, employee benefits administration, and overall HR administration.

This position will work under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources but will require directions from the Sr. Human Resources Generalist and the Smart Sand Management Team.

This position will be based at the Blair office working up to 25 hours per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruiting and hiring process, including posting job openings, saving resumes, conducting initial telephone screens, checking references, scheduling pre-employment screenings, and verifying employment applications.
  • Assist with data collection requests for various required reports on a reoccurring basis.
  • Assist in maintaining EEO records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining human resource information system records.
  • Assist in end-of-the-month reporting.
  • Assist with the Sick Call Tracking Log located on SharePoint.
  • Assist with administrative duties as it pertains to benefits administration including annual open enrollment document preparation.
  • Assist administratively with the new hire orientation/onboarding process.
  • Assist in the maintenance of employee files by organizing files and company documents.
  • Assist in coordinating employee engagement events, training sessions, and Company activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of related administrative or customer service experience preferred.
  • Associate's, Technical degree, or College background is a plus.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
