The HR Generalist will play a key administrative role within the HR team on a 6 month assignment, supporting the coordination and execution of HR programs, processes, and day to day operations to help keep the function organized, efficient, and effective. This temporary role will provide ongoing administrative and operational support across the HR Department, ensuring activities are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with company policies and procedures.
Over the 6 month period, this individual will be responsible for maintaining HR documentation, supporting employee lifecycle processes, coordinating HR communications, assisting with reporting and data management, and helping ensure the smooth delivery of HR services in a professional, fast paced matrix environment. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism within a defined timeframe is critical.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the HRBP team
Support core employee lifecycle activities, including organizational changes, promotions, transfers, and offboarding, ensuring timely coordination and accurate documentation.
Partner with HR Business Partners to support execution of HR processes, initiatives, and routine business needs in a consistent and efficient manner.
As needed, coordinate HR communications, meeting logistics, and follow-up actions for key people processes and team initiatives.
Assist with reporting, audits, and data management by compiling HR metrics, generating standard reports, and helping validate data accuracy.
As needed, respond to employee and manager inquiries on routine HR policies, processes, and systems, and escalate more complex matters to the appropriate HRBP or HR specialist team.
Support the administration of HR programs and annual cycles such as performance management, talent reviews, employee engagement activities, and other people initiatives.
Collaborate with internal partners including Payroll, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and IT to help ensure smooth delivery of HR services across the U.S.
Help maintain compliance with company policies, HR procedures, and applicable employment practices by ensuring documentation and administrative processes are complete and properly managed.
Identify opportunities to improve coordination, standardization, and efficiency across HRBP support activities, and help implement process improvements where appropriate.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across functions and geographies to support a responsive, service-oriented HR team
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
3–4 years of HR experience in an HR coordinator, HR generalist, or HR operations role
Working knowledge of U.S. employment practices and basic HR compliance concepts
Experience working with Workday or similar
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data and documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across levels and functions
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and provide service-oriented support to stakeholders
