We are supporting our client on a search for an HR Business Partner in NYC on a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office). This is a strategic seat - you will partner with 2-3 business units on performance, org design, employee relations, and workforce planning while coaching managers through the hardest conversations.
Ideal for a 5-8 year HR generalist stepping into or continuing a HRBP seat, with a coaching-first orientation and comfort operating across employee relations, comp, and org strategy.
Responsibilities
- Act as trusted HR partner for 2-3 business units (150-300 employees total)Coach managers on performance, feedback, comp conversations, and org designRun the annual review and calibration cycle in your BUsLead employee relations cases from intake through resolutionPartner with TA on workforce planning and headcount forecastsRoll out People programs (engagement, DEI, learning) locally in each BU
Requirements
- 5-8 years of HR experience with at least 2 as a HRBPTrack record coaching people managers through hard conversationsWorking knowledge of employment law and best practicesComfort with HRIS (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, ADP) and reportingStrong written communication - your policy docs are clear, not corporateBonus: SPHR/PHR, high-growth or NYC-based startup experience
