SUMMARY
Under the direction of the HR Manager, this position supports the plant and human resources management teams. Acts as liaison between plant management and employee population in support of Company policies and HR initiatives. Works closely with Operations to understand issues and how they impact the employee population. Performs HR duties in recruiting, training and development, benefits administration, payroll reporting, performance management, and more.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Recruits prospective employees based on company staffing requirements.
- Processes employment applications, interviews applicants, participates in selection of applicants for hiring, and related employment activities.
- Facilitates placement of contingent workers with staffing agencies.
- Conducts new employee orientation; administers pre-employment tests and conducts reference checks as required.
- Creates and maintains electronic and/or paper records of employee information such as personal data, rates of pay, benefits, payroll data, attendance, performance evaluations, job changes, etc.
- Compiles statistical reports from records, such as payroll, paid time off accrual, benefit selection, dates of hire, transfers, turnover reports, and absenteeism rates. Participates in annual reporting for Affirmative Action and EEO purposes.
- Examines employee files to answer inquires and provides information to authorized persons.
- Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, growth opportunities, employee benefits, etc.
- Serves as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering polices and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Assists in formulation or modification of human resources related issues such as job descriptions, work rules, training, etc.
- Develops and/or presents employee training as required.
- Participates in investigation of employee complaints and work related injuries and illness.
- Administers all aspect of claims for unemployment benefits.
- Travels between locations on a regular basis.
- All other duties as assigned

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors in Human Resources or related field
3+ years' experience in a Human Resources related field
Experience with a manufacturing ERP software. Syteline ERP is a plus.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
High level of proficiency using spreadsheet applications such as Excel, including the use of pivot
