    Description

Build an engaged, safe, and compliant workforce

As the HR Business Partner for plant operations, you’ll blend people advocacy with operational rigor. You’ll be the first call for employees and supervisors, the owner of full-cycle hiring for both permanent and temporary needs, and the guardian of accurate data, clean payrolls, and compliant practices under US and PA labor laws.

    Your first 90 days

    • Establish yourself as the primary contact for employee questions and employee relations matters.
    • Stand up a clear talent acquisition rhythm—requisition to onboarding—for all staffing types.
    • Audit and stabilize personnel files; align SAP HR and Org-Management data to reflect current roles, compensation, benefits, training, and disciplinary actions.
    • Lock in reliable Kronos processes for timekeeping, absenteeism monitoring, and payroll tasks.
    • Take ownership of FMLA, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation support.
    • Partner with EHS to reinforce safe practices and maintain cGMP discipline across the site.

    What success looks like

    • Employees and leaders trust you as a responsive, solutions-focused partner.
    • Open roles are filled efficiently and compliantly, improving time-to-hire for both permanent and temporary placements.
    • Personnel records are complete; SAP and Org-Management data are accurate and current.
    • Kronos timesheets are clean, payroll tasks are timely, and absenteeism trends are visible.
    • Leaves and claims are handled accurately and on time.
    • Engagement activities are coordinated smoothly and strengthen site culture.
    • Policies and procedures evolve through continuous improvement recommendations, aligned with legal requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers, supervisors, and employees—especially on employee relations.
    • Lead recruiting end-to-end for all openings (permanent and temporary).
    • Maintain personnel files and document changes in compensation, positions, benefits, training, and disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure accuracy of HR SAP and HR Org-Management records.
    • Oversee hiring/staffing processes, benefits administration, new hire orientation, absenteeism monitoring, and timekeeping.
    • Support FMLA, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation.
    • Manage HR projects with clear milestones and goals.
    • Plan and execute site employee activities and events.
    • Recommend improvements to policies/procedures and ensure compliance with US and PA labor laws.
    • Execute payroll-related tasks and maintain Kronos processes.
    • Support safety/EHS directives; maintain a clean, safe workplace and follow cGMP.
    • Handle other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline (required).
    • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of US and PA labor laws.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP, and KRONOS.
    • Experience with cGMP and ISO standards (preferred).
    • Meticulous attention to detail and a service-first approach.
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
