Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We are seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team in Shirley, MA. This is a highly visible role where you will partner closely with site leadership and employees to support business objectives, strengthen employee engagement, and drive effective HR practices across the manufacturing facility.
This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of key HR initiatives while also leading and developing one direct report.
Serve as a trusted HR partner to plant leadership, managers, and employees.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations, performance management, attendance, workplace concerns, and HR policies.
Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support operational and business goals.
Oversee and support employee engagement, retention, and organizational development initiatives.
Coach managers and supervisors on effective people-management practices.
Lead performance management processes, including coaching, documentation, and corrective action.
Support recruiting, onboarding, workforce planning, and talent development efforts.
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, company policies, and applicable regulations.
Analyze HR metrics and trends and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist with compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle processes.
Lead or support HR projects and initiatives that improve the overall employee experience.
Manage, mentor, and provide direction to one direct report.
Promote a positive, inclusive, safe, and productive workplace culture.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly fast-paced environment.
Must be comfortable communicating and collaborating directly with senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong executive presence, professionalism, and the ability to effectively navigate and influence at the leadership level.
Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience partnering with managers and leadership teams.
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience.
Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with hands-on day-to-day support.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.
