Overview
The Human Resources Compliance Specialist ensures that company policies and procedures align with the appropriate federal, state, and local laws and regulations including but not limited to the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Workers Compensation, Affirmative Action (AAP), EEO-1 and auditing the various HR functions to ensure regulatory requirements are met. Additionally, the Human Resources Compliance Specialist I partners with the 3rd party vendor to ensure regulatory compliance and final decision on absence requests approvals.

Qualifications
2+ years in Human Resources to include prior experience in HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.) OR 4 years as a HR Generalist handling HR compliance related topics and/or leave administration.
Must have outstanding oral and presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and outside vendors
Must have intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office/Productivity Tools (Excel, PPT, Word)
Knowledge of Federal and state employment regulations (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.)
Critical thinking and decision making skills
Stakeholder coordination
Collaboration Tools (Teams, SharePoint)
Confidentiality and integrity
Relationship management experience
Four-year degree in business, human resources, or related field of study preferred
Experience to some regulatory examination and internal audit experience preferred
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse requiring hand and wrist manipulation, while viewing computer screens
