HR Coordinator

Overview
We are seeking an entry-level HR Coordinator to support daily human resources operations. This role plays a key part in onboarding, employee support, administrative processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, service-minded, and looking to grow a career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, and orientation scheduling
  • Enter and maintain employee data; process new-hire, employee, and manager transactions in the HR system
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding routine HR questions via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Communicate and help interpret HR policies, procedures, and practices
  • Maintain foundational knowledge of HR-supported programs and refer employees to appropriate resources when needed
  • Assist with administration of assigned HR programs and initiatives
  • Sort and distribute departmental mail
  • Prepare reports and perform routine audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with processing departmental invoices and organizing supplies
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, safety, and operations partners to support employees and leadership
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous administrative support and/or data entry experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently enter high volumes of data
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic to proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, not required

Position Details

  • Pay: $21-23/hour
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Location: 100% on-site (Twin Cities metro area)
  • Employment Type: Contract-to-hire
