Description
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Twin Cities region by providing day-to-day human resources support, recruiting, onboarding, leave administration, employee support, and safety coordination for a diverse employee population. This position serves as the primary HR contact for the Ramsey and Anoka facilities, a recently acquired operation of approximately 50 employees, while also supporting HR functions across the Golden Valley and Brooklyn Park facilities.
Working closely with site leadership, Safety, and regional HR leadership, this role helps ensure consistent execution of HR processes, supports a positive employee experience, and contributes to employee retention, compliance, and workforce effectiveness. The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a key partner in the continued integration of the Ramsey and Anoka facility into LDI while supporting broader regional HR priorities.
This full-time position will report to the Twin Cities Regional HR Manager, and splits time between our three Minnesota facilities: Ramsey (40%), Golden Valley (40%), and Brooklyn Park (20%) primarily based at our facility in Ramsey, Minnesota.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary Human Resources contact for the Ramsey and Anoka facility, providing day-to-day support to employees and leaders while partnering with regional HR leadership on more complex matters.
- Coordinate hourly recruiting and onboarding activities, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, pre-employment processes, orientation, and I-9 administration.
- Support employee relations activities by responding to routine employee questions, maintaining documentation, and partnering with regional HR leadership on investigations, corrective actions, and workplace concerns.
- Administer leave of absence and workers' compensation processes, including employee communication, documentation tracking, return-to-work coordination, and light-duty administration.
- Partner closely with site Safety leadership to support injury reporting, safety initiatives, compliance activities, and the promotion of a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS transactions, organizational charts, personnel files, and other HR documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate employee training, policy acknowledgments, compliance requirements, and onboarding activities to support a positive employee experience and workforce readiness.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, metrics, and workforce data to support operational and business decision-making.
- Support regional HR initiatives, integration activities, employee engagement efforts, and continuous improvement projects across the Twin Cities region.
- Other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelors' degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of experience in HR or related field.
- Basic knowledge of HR processes and procedures. Ability to research and apply applicable HR laws, policies or guidance to develop operating procedures and training.
- Self-starter with excellent ability to prioritize and synthesize tasks from many sources, including being highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and ability to build strong relationships.
- Experience using an HR Information System.
- High degree of accountability in handling and maintaining various confidential matters.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within an organization.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to travel between Minnesota locations up to 60%
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills strongly preferred.
- Previous HR Internship or HR Assistant experience.
- Previous experience working with a HRIS system, entering information, and extracting reports.
- Human Resource certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay range for this position is $24.12 - $30.15 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
