Position Summary:

Boiler Tube Company is seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support the Plant Human Resources Manager in a variety of HR functions. This role plays a critical part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, leave administration, training coordination, employee engagement activities, and offboarding processes.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Requirements

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Post and manage job openings through the applicant tracking system.
  • Source and identify qualified candidates for hourly manufacturing positions.
  • Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Support recruiting initiatives to attract top talent.

Onboarding & New Hire Administration

  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including drug screens and fit-for-duty appointments.
  • Complete I-9 employment eligibility verification.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Schedule and track onboarding training requirements.

Employee Records Management

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Update personnel files, attendance records, leave documentation, and other HR-related data within HR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with record retention requirements.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Assist employees with questions regarding company benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Manage leave administration processes, including FMLA, short-term disability, and ADA accommodation requests through designated vendor platforms.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of employee leave cases.

Training & Development

  • Assign and monitor online training programs.
  • Maintain training records and databases.
  • Coordinate training schedules and ensure completion records are accurately documented.

Offboarding & Employee Transitions

  • Conduct exit interviews and gather employee feedback.
  • Process termination paperwork and offboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate the return of company property and completion of separation requirements.

Administrative & HR Support

  • Maintain HR filing systems and documentation.
  • Schedule meetings and prepare HR reports, presentations, and employee status change documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for day-to-day HR operations.

Special Projects & Employee Engagement

  • Partner with the Plant HR Manager on employee events, engagement initiatives, training activities, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Support implementation of HR programs and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR
  • Associate degree with at least 2 years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant environment

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and leave administration processes
