The University of Lynchburg, a private, regional university in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, is seeking applicants for a full-time Human Resources HR Coordinator position in the Office of Human Resources.
This position reports to, is supervised by, and evaluated by the Human Resource Manager. It will include the specific duties and responsibilities outlined in this position description, as well as the employee's attitude and general work behavior.

Job Purpose:
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the Human Resources department by coordinating, recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance activities, and employee relations initiatives. This position serves as a key point of contact for employees and applicants, ensuring efficient HR processes, exceptional customer service , and compliance with organizational policies and employment regulations. The HR Coordinator supports the overall employee lifecycle while contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture.

Education:
High school degree plus postsecondary education, preferably in a business or HR-related field, and professional training; a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
