Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location: Newark, NJ

Pay Range: 25 - 30/hr, W 2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days a week in office)

Summary:

  • Responsible for managing a wide variety of employee data updates, requests, and inquiries.
  • Commitment to providing excellent internal customer/client service experience.
  • Understand and apply HR policies/procedures.
  • Sensitively and compliantly handle confidential employee information.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence regarding continuous improvement, trends, best practices, and new technologies in HR.
  • Develop and maintain usage reports.
  • Research and respond to questions through centralized phone, ticket management system, and case tracking tool (Ask HR).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Tier 1 HR operations, ensuring cases requiring escalation are completed within service level agreement.
  • Manage employee status/pay changes, terminations, org structure changes, exit survey support, and job description updates.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee relations case history research, invoice, and purchase order support.
  • Manage inquiries through databases and channels, including Ask HR.
  • Research and resolve complex inquiries/complaints and urgent exceptions from business area and/or HR.
  • Create, assign, escalate, and resolve cases in accordance with standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with document management processes within the PSC.
  • Advise and educate managers and employees on self-service tools where available.
  • Participate in continuous improvement workshops and projects.
  • Collaborate with PSC Leadership, Subject Matter Experts, HR COEs, and user groups to ensure overall operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or 4 years of relevant professional work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to learn and apply HR practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using HR systems and data sources such as SAP/HR Module.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexible to change and a team player.
