A U.S.-headquartered multinational industrial manufacturer is building out its operations in Vietnam and hiring an HR leader to run HR for its existing Ho Chi Minh City workforce today and lead the people side of a new factory build tomorrow. This is the senior HR seat in-country, reporting to global HR leadership and partnering directly with local and corporate management. The person who takes it will move from running HR for an established office to standing up the HR infrastructure for a greenfield manufacturing operation from zero — workforce plans, staffing models, policies, pay structures, and mass hiring. As the business grows across the region, the role is built to grow with it into broader HR leadership.

• Anticipated USD $70K–$90K base, based on experience
• Plus 10% target annual bonus

OVERVIEW

• Own all HR for the existing Vietnam operation: talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance, talent development, workforce planning, compliance, and HR operations.
• Lead the HR workstream for a future greenfield factory in Vietnam — build the HR function from the ground up.
• Build the workforce ramp-up plan: headcount structure, staffing models, hiring sequence, and timelines for the new site.
• Keep the operation compliant with Vietnamese labor and employment law as it scales.
• Partner across Operations, Finance, Legal, EHS, and Engineering through site development and ramp.
• Serve as the bridge between local facility needs and corporate/global HR direction.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or a related field. Master's or professional HR certification is a plus.
• Professional fluency in both Vietnamese and English is required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive HR leadership, with the majority of that time in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments — not a brief stint in a factory.
• HR leadership experience inside an international or multinational company, working with global/corporate leadership.
• Strong, current command of Vietnamese employment and labor practices.
• Strongly Preferred — hands-on greenfield experience: has helped open a new factory or stand up a new operation from scratch.
• Strongly Preferred — experience with large workforce ramp-ups and high-volume recruiting.
• Track record of building HR programs and infrastructure, not just administering existing ones.
• Comfortable operating hands-on in a growing, changing, entrepreneurial environment.
