HR Director | Onsite in Dallas, TX
Our client, a well-established, growth-oriented commercial and industrial lighting manufacturers’ rep business with a long operating history, multiple locations, and a collaborative ownership structure is seeking a Director of Human Resources. This is a company that values steady judgment, trust, and people who can help keep operations moving while supporting continued growth.

This is an onsite role in Dallas, and it’s best suited for someone who is comfortable partnering closely with leadership, building structure, and serving as the go-to HR resource.
Responsibilities:
- Lead core HR operations as the primary internal HR contact
- Oversee payroll administration and related HR systems
- Support benefits administration, including insurance and 401(k) coordination
- Build and improve HR policies and procedures that fit the company’s culture
- Support employee relations issues with sound judgment and professionalism
- Partner with managers on performance management and people leadership
- Improve onboarding, training, and new-hire experience
- Help strengthen management capability through practical HR guidance
- Ensure day-to-day HR practices align with compliance expectations
- Serve as a trusted business partner to ownership and leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Several years of progressive HR experience in a hands-on, generalist, or HR leadership role
- SHRM certification preferred
- Strong judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
- Experience supporting payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and training
- A steady, approachable style that builds trust at all levels
- Comfort working in a collaborative, ownership-involved environment
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage both strategic and tactical work
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similar operational businesses is a plus
- A track record of stability, consistency, and strong culture fit
