Position Overview
The HR Director will have comprehensive responsibility for human resources operations supporting Jereh's U.S. business.
This position will develop and implement a localized U.S. HR strategy and infrastructure while coordinating effectively between Chinese headquarters, Chinese employees, and U.S.-based employees.
The ideal candidate will bring strong international HR leadership experience, knowledge of U.S. employment regulations, and the ability to effectively manage cross-cultural organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of HR operations for the U.S. region.
- Develop and implement a localized U.S. HR system and policies.
- Partner with Chinese headquarters and U.S. leadership on workforce and organizational strategy.
- Manage HR programs for both Chinese expatriate and U.S.-based employees.
- Oversee compensation, performance management, benefits, and employee programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. employment and labor regulations.
- Manage employee relations and address workplace issues effectively.
- Develop organizational structures, processes, and talent strategies to support business growth.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future business needs.
- Develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop key talent.
- Identify and mitigate employment and labor-related risks.
- Manage cross-cultural teams and foster effective communication between Chinese and U.S. employees.
- Work independently with local agencies, partners, and external HR resources.
- Support the company's continued international expansion and localization efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience.
- 3+ years of comprehensive HR leadership experience at the Director level.
- Fluent business English with the ability to independently communicate with U.S. employees, agencies, and international leadership.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment and labor regulations.
- Demonstrated experience managing comprehensive HR functions rather than a single HR specialty.
- Strong cross-cultural management and communication skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and execute effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
- Willingness and ability to support overseas/international business operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a Chinese-headquartered or Chinese-owned company.
- Experience managing HR for a Chinese company’s overseas operations.
- Experience working with both Chinese and U.S./international employees.
- Background in energy, oil & gas, oilfield services, industrial equipment, manufacturing, heavy industry, engineering, or EPC.
- Experience supporting international expansion, localization, or overseas business development.
- Experience managing expatriate employees and international assignments.
International Assignment Options
For qualified candidates currently based in China, the company offers an overseas assignment structure that may include a 3-month overseas / 1-month home rotation.
For candidates interested in long-term U.S. deployment, U.S. work visa sponsorship may be available.
