HR Director (in Manufacturing)

Seeking a motivated and innovative HR Director for a Manufacturing companyin Tampa, FL. This is a brand-new, full-time, W-2 HR Director role — you will help build and define it from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Director will lead a team of three direct reports and provide strategic and operational HR leadership across four U.S.-based manufacturing sites. Key Responsibilities

●      Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team on all people-related matters

●      Build and lead the HR function from the ground up, including policies, programs, and infrastructure across four manufacturing sites

●      Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three HR direct reports

●      Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning across all sites

●      Design and manage compensation, benefits, and total rewards programs to attract and retain top talent

●      Drive employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives across a multi-site manufacturing workforce

●      Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions

●      Partner with site and operations leaders to align HR strategy with production and business goals

●      Develop and implement training, leadership development, and succession planning programs

●      Lead HR policy development and ensure consistent application across all locations

●      Champion a strong, positive company culture that supports safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

●      Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR) a plus

●      Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or industrial operations

●      Proven experience building or scaling an HR function, ideally in a growing organization

●      Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices across multiple states

●      Experience supporting a workforce in the manufacturing or commercial construction industry preferred; Comfortable walking the plant floor and speaking with employees

●      Demonstrated success leading talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards programs, and M&A

●      Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level

●      Experience with a UKG and ability to speak conversational Spanish is a plus

●      Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed (10% overnight travel)
