HR Director- Morris County, NJ

The HR Director leads and manages the overall human resources strategy, policies, and operations of the organization. This role is responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, organizational development, and workforce planning. The HR Director partners with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational objectives
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Lead performance management and employee development programs
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and rewards systems
  • Analyze workforce metrics and prepare HR reports for leadership
  • Support diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Manage HR staff and provide leadership and mentoring
  • Develop succession planning and talent management strategies
  • Oversee training and professional development programs
  • Collaborate with department heads on workforce planning and organizational changes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred
  • 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
