LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a healthcare corporate office in Phoenix, AZ that is looking for a Hybrid/In-Office Human Resources Employee Relations Specialist to join their team. This is a Full-Time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm position, pay range depending on experience $33.00-$38.00 per hour.
The HR Employee Relations Specialist serves as a trusted resource for employees, ensuring consistent application of company policies, employment practices, and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for resolving employee concerns, conducting workplace investigations, providing guidance on performance and conduct matters, and promoting employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Job Duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns, complaints, and workplace issues.
- Investigate employee complaints involving policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and workplace conflicts.
- Conduct fact-finding interviews and prepare clear, objective documentation and investigation summaries.
- Partner with managers to address attendance, performance, behavioral, and disciplinary issues.
- Provide coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors regarding company policies and workplace expectations.
- Support performance improvement plans (PIPs), corrective action processes, and employee counseling efforts.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
- Interpret and apply company policies consistently across all employee groups.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with policy development, revisions, and employee handbook updates.
- Maintain accurate employee relations case documentation and records.
- Identify workplace trends and make recommendations to minimize legal and employee relations risks.
- Partner with HR leadership to develop employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Support employee feedback programs, surveys, and action planning efforts.
- Provide training for managers on employee relations topics, conflict resolution, workplace conduct, and employment law compliance.
- Educate employees on company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
- Serve as a resource for supervisors regarding difficult employee situations and performance concerns.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, and HR Business Partners to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare employee relations reports, metrics, and trend analyses for leadership review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling complex employee issues.
- Working knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and state labor regulations.
