HR Generalist and Payroll

LHH Recruitment is partnering with a well-established construction company near Scottsdale who is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join their team. This is a hands-on, generalist-level position supporting a variety of HR functions, with payroll processing being a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely, including reviewing timecards, overtime, PTO, deductions, and adjustments.
• Handle employee questions and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, new-hire paperwork, employee changes, and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee relations.
• Support recruiting, interviews, and onboarding as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and special projects.
• Support construction-related payroll requirements, including certified payroll when applicable.

Must-Haves

• Hands-on payroll processing experience - REQUIRED
• 3+ years of experience at a Generalist level
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Certified payroll experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment practices.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Strong computer and Excel skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Compensation & Schedule

• Up to $80,000, depending on experience
• Monday-Friday
• Fully onsite
