Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on HR Generalist who is fluent in both English and Spanish to support a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys working closely with employees and supervisors, has strong knowledge of California labor laws, and can support a diverse hourly workforce.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a 'go-getter' mindset who takes initiative, builds trust across all levels of the organization, and helps maintain a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees, supervisors, and leadership.
  • Provide bilingual HR support in English and Spanish for employees across the organization.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire orientation.
  • Support recruitment efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, conflict resolution, investigations, and corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data.
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee benefit questions.
  • Assist with payroll-related documentation and compliance.
  • Translate HR communications, policies, and employee documents as needed.
  • Partner with leadership to support performance management and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate training programs, including harassment prevention, workplace safety, and compliance training.
  • Maintain a visible, approachable, and trusted HR presence with employees.
  • Track HR metrics such as turnover, retention, attendance, and compliance items.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
  • 2-5+ years of HR experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting hourly, non-exempt, manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or production employees strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, onboarding, and HR administration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent HR experience will be considered.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification is a plus.
