Job Description



Human Resources Generalist - Bilingual

The Human Resources Generalist will provide HR support to a manufacturing site and its respective leadership team. The incumbent’s daily work will include ensuring our ability to attract, retain, and develop our workforce through community and employee engagement. S/he will also monitor and ensure processes and practices ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance with all Novolex HR policies and procedures. This position normally reports to a Human Resources Manager and will partner with colleagues at other sites and across our centers of excellence such as talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Business Partner – Participates in the daily management of the site aligning functional strategies, projects, and initiatives to deliver business solutions; coaches and develops frontline leaders · Engagement – Owns employee engagement for their respective site, to include regular, effective communications, recognition, and rewards at all levels; organizes community and local events · Talent Acquisition – Leads full-cycle recruiting process for all hourly requisitions; partners with leaders to develop and deliver onboarding, immersion, and training for new hires · Talent Management –Assists with talent management for the site including annual performance and talent reviews, workforce planning, development plans, learning & development opportunities, etc. · Company Culture – Advises and provides guidance to frontline leaders regarding talent, organizational effectiveness, change management, and culture to align to Novolex’s core values and strategic initiatives · Operational Execution – Performs routine tasks employed with employee relations such as investigations and exit interviews; audits files, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to defined standards · Analytics – Regularly maintains dashboards and performs analytics to identify root cause and suggest appropriate countermeasures impacting performance for all People-related metrics · Compliance – Ensures compliance with and adherence to all local, state, and federal laws for all aspects of human resources management; stays current on trends related to human resources

Critical Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred · Bilingual – Spanish required · 2+ years HR business partner experience; manufacturing or distribution experience preferred · PHR or SHRM-CP certifications or local equivalent preferred · Experience with HRIS, Payroll, and Applicant Tracking systems · Experience driving action plans to deliver desired outcomes · Ability to effectively coach, communicate, and influence frontline leaders and team members · Ability to travel less than 5% within the United States A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000-$85,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
