Core Responsibilities 
 
Serve as the first-line HR contact for employee inquiries, workplace concerns, policy questions, and manager guidance, providing timely, people-first support and escalating complex matters appropriately. 
 
Partner with leaders to address performance concerns, provide coaching, support corrective action processes, and promote consistent application of company policies and employment practices. 
 
In conjunction with department leadership conducts, documents, and supports employee relations reviews and investigations by gathering relevant information, maintaining objective records, and helping ensure timely, consistent resolution. 
 
  • Execute core HR processes, including employee lifecycle changes, documentation, recordkeeping, and HRIS updates. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements and company policies through accurate documentation and audit readiness. 
  • Maintain accurate employee data and support reporting needs for HR and business leaders. 
  • Support audits, regulatory requirements, and internal reviews as needed. 
  • Collaborates across support services functions to ensure seamless service delivery to all employees 
  • Monitor and reinforce compliance with company policies and procedures across teams. 
  • Support key HR programs, including performance management, employee engagement, and talent development. 
  • Partner with leaders during performance cycles, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end reviews, and calibration. 
  • Assist with the rollout and communication of HR initiatives to ensure clarity and manager adoption. 
  • Analyze data, including engagement surveys, turnover, and performance outcomes, to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 
 
Additional Responsibilities 
 
  • Work collaboratively with leaders and managers to build strong working relationships and effective office processes. 
  • Attend office meetings and in-service sessions as required. 
  • Maintain the confidentiality of patient personal and financial information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and regulations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the physician, practice manager, human resource manager, and/or office supervisor.

  • Knowledge of business communication standards, including the format and style of letters, memoranda, and reports. 
  • Proficiency with personal computers and standard software applications, including internet-based tools. 
  • Ability to set priorities, work independently, and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding health and financial information. 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • Fluency in English. 
 
Required Qualifications  
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. 
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within healthcare, medical practice, hospital, or clinical setting. 
  • Willingness to learn new tasks, cross-train within the office, and remain flexible to support workflow and assist coworkers as needed. 
  • Flexibility in work hours, including occasional overtime. 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
 
•    Professional Human Resources certification preferred, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP,  PHR, or SPHR 
•    Master’s Degree  
•    Experience working in a fast-paced health care environment  
 
Physical Requirements 
 
  • Apply proper body mechanics when lifting or moving charts, boxes, or equipment on an occasional basis. 
  • Ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. 
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use a keyboard frequently. 
Work Environment 
 
•   Medical office environment with occasional contact with adult patients.
