    Job Summary:

    The HR Generalist assists in the daily functions of U.S. and global operations in the HR Department.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the implementation of HR programs by providing human resources services, which involve benefits and leave programs.
    • Complete personnel transactions and maintain associated records.
    • Comply with routine reporting requirements (i.e., benefits premium remittance report, benefits pivot tables, international active employees, and FMLA status.)
    • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
    • Involvement in special HR projects.
    • Respond to employment-related inquiries from employees.
    • Maintain employee records and HR information systems (HRIS), ensuring accuracy and compliance with recordkeeping requirements
    • Process employee status changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations
    • Coordinate onboarding activities including new hire paperwork, system access, and orientation scheduling
    • Administer employee benefits enrollment, changes, and communications
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
    • Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and presentations
    • Maintain HR filing systems and ensure proper document retention
    • Assist with employment verification requests and unemployment claims
    • Support recruitment efforts including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
    • Coordinate HR projects and initiatives as assigned

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly and concisely with all departments and levels of management
    • Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail
    • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
    • Familiarity with NetSuite
    • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro
    • Proficiency with the organization's HRIS and applicant tracking system
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to work on multiple tasks and shift gears quickly
    • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and work cooperatively as a team member
    • Passionate about helping others and providing positive outcomes

    Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
    • 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a global company
    • HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

    Physical Requirements:

    • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
    • Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed
    • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours)
    • Ability to operate the equipment used for the job
    • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
