Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will help shape the workforce of a rapidly growing business sector within our larger organization. With our new facility gearing up for a period of increased hiring and operational expansion, this position will play a critical role in building the talent foundation that supports our long‑term success.
Initially a major focus for this role will be on full‑cycle recruiting: attracting, sourcing, and selecting top talent to support our fast‑paced growth. Additionally the position will include broader HR generalist responsibilities, supporting employees and leaders across areas such as employee relations, payroll & benefits, performance management, compliance, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting
· Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline
· Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and execute effective recruiting strategies
· Market open positions through job boards, schools, community organizations, and networking events; maintain requisitions within the Applicant Tracking System and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
· Proactively source and engage qualified candidates through multiple channels to build a strong talent pipeline and support ongoing recruiting needs
· Conduct background checks, reference checks, and employment/education verifications; track and report key recruiting metrics
· Support new hire orientation and onboarding
Employee Relations
· Support and lead HR programs and initiatives that promote employee engagement, appreciation, and a positive workplace culture
· Advise managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement, and policy interpretation, ensuring fairness and consistency
· Support investigations into employee concerns, complaints, or allegations as needed
Payroll & HRIS
· Review and validate timecards, addressing discrepancies with supervisors to ensure payroll accuracy
· Process payroll and manage employee payroll-related changes in coordination with the corporate payroll team
· Track call-offs and attendance, partnering with supervisors to ensure appropriate documentation and disciplinary action when necessary
· Support administration of performance management processes and annual review cycles
· Generate HR reports to support data-driven decision-making
Benefits
· Provide guidance on benefit-related questions with support from corporate
· Support Open Enrollment and new hire benefit elections, ensuring timely and accurate processing
· Educate employees and supervisors on FMLA and personal leave processes and oversee related documentation and administration
MISC.
· Maintain knowledge of HR laws and regulations; ensure policies, procedures, and reporting remain compliant
· Assist with orientation, company events, and other HR initiatives that promote employee engagement
· Demonstrate strong decision‑making ability and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
· Work on and/or participate in special projects as needed or assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, a related field, or the equivalent experience in lieu of a formal degree
· Minimum 3+ years of work experience with recruitment and/or talent acquisition
· Minimum 2+ years of work experience with general HR functions, including payroll responsibility
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred

· Solid understanding of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

· Prior experience with UKG/Kronos is preferred
Working Environment:
· Office environment within a manufacturing facility
· Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking (including up and down stairs), frequent time spent using a computer screen, mouse, and keyboard
