Hours: 8-hour shift – 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: St Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO

 

We are seeking a HR Generalist Employee Relations, sometimes referred to as a Human Resources Business Partner (HR Business Partner), Senior HR Representative or Human Resources Employee Relationships Specialist. The HR Generalist Employee Relations supports leaders with employee relations issues, including performance management, corrective action, workplace concerns, investigations, grievances, and unemployment claims. The HR Generalist Employee Relations will ensure compliance by maintaining accurate records, supporting survey readiness, monitoring contract labor requirements, and providing training on HR policies and best practices.

Responsibilities:

** You must have at least 3 years of experience in employee relations and bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (HR) or closely related field to move forward in this position. ** 

  • Consult with leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns
  • Investigate complaints related to policy violations, discrimination, harassment, and other workplace issues; ensure timely, thorough, and objective outcomes
  • Lead and support employee relations investigations, including documentation, interviews, and recommendations for resolution
  • Provide training and coaching to leaders on employee relations topics, policies, and best practices
  • Facilitate survey readiness efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory and HR requirements
  • Respond to unemployment claims, including gathering documentation and preparing responses in alignment with organizational standards
  • Investigate and resolve employee grievances in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner
  • Track and monitor compliance related to contract labor, ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records related to employee relations, investigations, and compliance activities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or closely related field preferred
  • 5 years experience in a Human Resources; with two years of this experience being in healthcare preferred \
  • Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail 
  • PHR, SPHR or relevant human resources certifications or advanced degree preferred
