HR Generalist

Overview

The HR Generalist serves as a central resource for HR systems, regulatory oversight, and daytoday employee needs while partnering closely with leadership to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR questions, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Oversee daily HR operations across multiple locations to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational initiatives
  • Monitor HR and talent metrics and support continuous process improvement
Benefits Administration
  • Administer companywide benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
  • Lead annual open enrollment from planning through execution
  • Audit benefit enrollments for accuracy and compliance
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Act as the primary liaison with benefits providers and brokers
HR Systems (HRIS) & Reporting
  • Serve as the HRIS lead, managing system configuration, optimization, and data integrity
  • Oversee employee system access, security, and user support
  • Partner with Payroll to resolve system and data integration issues
  • Develop and distribute standard and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards
  • Train users on HR systems and maintain supporting documentation
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Manage required filings and reporting (ACA, EEO1, OSHA, and related documentation)
  • Oversee workers' compensation programs and claims tracking
  • Maintain accurate, compliant employee records and documentation
Additional Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed
  • Support access control, credentialing, or compliance processes related to regulated work environments
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Competencies
  • Strong command of HR operations, compliance, and service delivery
  • Deep working knowledge of employment laws and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to leverage HR data and systems to drive accuracy and efficiency
  • Proven experience managing benefits programs and vendor relationships
  • Strong problemsolving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Education & Experience

Required
  • 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience with emphasis on operations, benefits, or compliance
  • Experience with PAYCOM
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience supporting multisite or highly regulated environments
  • HR certification (SHRMCP, SHRMSCP, PHR, SPHR)
  • Advanced HRIS reporting or analytics experience
