Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a HR Generalist II to join their team. As a HR Generalist II, you will be part of the Human Resources department supporting various operational and staff functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: HR Generalist II
Location: Alcoa, TN
Pay Range: $43/hr
Shift: Days (08:00-17:00)
Assignment Length: 3 months
What's the Job?
- Provide guidance and counsel to internal stakeholders on a wide range of Human Resources matters, including labor relations, HR policies, employee engagement, and job progression.
- Collaborate and communicate regularly with employees and leadership across Operations, Maintenance, and Staff functions, as well as union representatives, to support organizational objectives.
- Assist management with Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and policy interpretation, ensuring compliance with HR procedures and programs.
- Respond to grievances, review disciplinary programs, conduct investigations, and participate in union contract negotiations to resolve employee relations issues.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance, partnering with legal departments as needed.
What's Needed?
- Experience in Human Resources, with no minimum years required.
- Strong understanding of labor relations, HR policies, and employment law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
