    Centered in the heart of Johns Creek, Georgia, St Ives Country Club has maintained a standard of private club excellence since 1989.  We are seeking an experienced full-time Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist to handle the day-to-day HR responsibilities and provide administrative support to certain key positions.  The Human Resource Generalist will perform all HR functions, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and practices.  The HR Generalist role is a salaried, exempt position reporting to the Controller and General Manager.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
    • Manage payroll processes from review to final calculations, ensuring accurate payment of regular wages, overtime, bonuses, tips and commissions.
    • Administer health insurance and retirement plans.
    • Ensure annual tax documents, including W-2’s and 1099s, are prepared, distributed and maintained in compliance with applicable regulations.
    • Process and Maintain employee status changes in the HRIS, including new hires, promotions, transfers and terminations.
    • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Conducts or acquires background checks, drug screenings, and employee eligibility verifications.
    • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
    • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and follows recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Help solve workplace conflicts, answer staff questions, and guide managers on performance reviews.
    • Maintains employee files.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
    • Must be open to work Saturdays and select holidays.
    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Must be physically able to perform job duties with good eyesight (with/without correction) and good hearing (with/without correction).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to read and speak English fluently using good grammar.
    • Bilingual skills are a plus, especially Spanish.
    • Ability to multitask as needed.
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the Club's HRIS, payroll, and talent management systems.
    • Private club experience preferred. 
    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; Associate degree also preferred.
    • Five (5) or more years of experience working in a human resources role.
    • Or any relevant combination of education and experience.
    • HR certification(s), such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, is a plus.
