POSITION SUMMARY:The HR Generalist provides hands-on support to employees, supervisors, managers, and the HR Manager across a variety of HR functions. This position serves as a visible and approachable HR resource and supports employee relations, attendance and leave administration, onboarding, benefits, performance management, training, employee engagement, HRIS administration, compliance, and HR projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters.
- Assist with employee investigations, corrective actions, coaching, performance management, and documentation.
- Support new hire onboarding, orientation, I-9 completion, personnel files, and employee status changes.
- Assist with attendance administration and tracking of FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, ADA accommodations, and other leaves.
- Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment, and annual open enrollment.
- Maintain accurate employee information, personnel records, and HRIS data.
- Support the annual performance review process and maintain performance documentation.
- Coordinate and track employee and management training programs.
- Support employee engagement, recognition programs, appreciation events, employee communications, and HR initiatives.
- Assist with HR audits, compliance requirements, policies, procedures, and special projects.
- Support employee separation processes, including documentation, company property returns, and exit interviews.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and medical information.
- Partner with the HR Manager and leadership team to improve HR processes and employee experience.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of HR experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, attendance, leave administration, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance.
- Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
