Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic HR Generalist with Payroll experience to manage daily human resources operations and oversee end-to-end payroll administration. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with 1–3 years of experience who is looking to take ownership of payroll while continuing to grow their expertise in employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR operations.

Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions, benefits, workplace policies, and HR processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time while supporting day-to-day HR operations, employee onboarding, compliance, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Process accurate bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
- Manage timekeeping systems, payroll adjustments, deductions, overtime tracking, and bonus calculations.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries promptly.
- Assist with benefits administration, including health, dental, retirement plans, and annual open enrollment.
Human Resources Operations:
- Manage the employee onboarding process, including background checks, new hire paperwork, and orientation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HRIS systems.
- Support employees and managers with HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with updating employee handbooks and maintaining company policies.
- Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and workplace concerns.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, short-term disability, and other employee leave programs.
- Prepare HR reports related to headcount, turnover, payroll expenses, and workforce metrics.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience working in a corporate HR environment.
- At least 1 year of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information.
- Solid understanding of basic employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
- Experience supporting payroll and HR operations in a growing organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
