Key Responsibilities for the HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator:



  • Process and oversee multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and benefit withholdings

  • Reconcile payroll data and partner with Finance to support payroll reporting and audits

  • Manage compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and labor laws

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution

  • Administer new hire, termination, compensation, and employment status changes within HRIS and payroll system

  • Support employee relations including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management

  • Oversee HR programs including benefits administration, leave management, and employee engagement initiatives

  • Coordinate compliance training programs and maintain learning management platforms

  • Assist with policy development, employee handbook updates, and HR process improvements

  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements

  • Generate payroll, headcount, and workforce reports to support leadership decision-making



Qualifications for the HR Generalist / Payroll Administrator:



  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in both Human Resources and payroll administration

  • Experience processing payroll and managing payroll-related compliance requirements

  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for payroll reporting and analysis

  • Working knowledge of labor laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and employment compliance requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential information
